Zoo Day

We took advantage of a beautiful day and went to the "big zoo." We hit all the favorites, and even hiked to the far reaches today to see the elephants, oryx and rhinos. Here are some of our favorite shots from the day.

Sam said his highlight was ALL the animals (big surprise there) and Anna's favorite part was the Kingdom of the Night (except the bats), the giraffes and the ice cream. Josh LOVED the penguins and the fish and the ride in his stroller. FUN day at the Henry Doorly Zoo.

We really miss the Henry Doorly Zoo! It was always so much fun to go and trek through the rainforest - my kids especially liked the wooden log bridge. My kiddos were also not very fond of the bats as they "smell a little funny".

I haven't been to the zoo in ages. I should probably be a good mommy and take my kids. We don't have one here in town, and would have to travel a couple of hours to get to one. That's my excuse. :0) Does it work?

Amber,

I used to take YOU to the Henry Doorly Zoo in your stroller, too!

I think your favorites were the
goldfish. Go figure.

Glad you had a great adventure-
wish I could have been there, too.
