Grammy Joan

Look who we've had at our house this week!

Grammy Joan picked the best week to come visit. It has been warm and sunny so we've spent lots of time outside, eating popsicles, going for walks, and we even pulled Sam out of school early on Thursday to spend an afternoon at the zoo.

As usual, Josh was a charmer. But his stubborn streak is showing and he still is refusing to take his first steps...even for Grammy Joan.

We even took Grammy Joan to visit Tony at work and to ham it up in the courtroom.

We love you, Grammy Joan! Thanks for the FUN visit. Have a safe trip home and come again soon...

Looks like you all had so much fun! Joshua is getting so big! Glad Avery's not the only one that is stubborn about walking. :)

Oh you lucky ducks. I love having grandma out. Don't they just add a little sunshine to our lives! What a fun week.

I can't believe how much Josh looks like Sam. We were going through picture books the other day and it broke my heart that they don't really remember Sam. Has it really been that long? I suppose it has.

What would we do without our Grammy? It is so nice that she has some freedom and a flight pass! Glad you had a fun visit together. You all look happy and healthy. We love you.

Well, I've been behind this past week, so I'm catching up on your life this morning. I figure Josh isn't being stubborn, he's just taking life in his own time - and he's still not as old as Kateri was when she first walked. And with that, I can say that I'm always anxious for my kids to hit the next step too, so it's easier to remind others how quickly things go all on their own. :) Vincent will be 4 months this week, and I can't believe it, and I sadly find that it's already hard for me to remember what he was like as a newborn!
Loved the birdfeeders too, but I'd be scared to put them up in our yard . . . the moose are out in full force this spring. My mom-in-law has had moose in her yard three times that have now destroyed pretty much all the flowers and gardening she had accomplished - she's ready to give the house over to the beasts! And yesterday we watched a moose munch vegetation at the creek behind our home, and then the moose charged the neighbor's yard several times when their dog barked at him. I love the moose being around, but the last thing we need is a moose in our yard enjoying those yummy birdfeeders!
Have a good week.
