Air Show & 2008 Morning Charts

This weekend our family (along with 125,000 other people) enjoyed the perfect weather at Offutt's annual Air Show!

We met up with the Broughs waiting for the shuttle...

...LOVED the fly-over by the stealth B-1 bomber (just try and tell me that it's not the coolest looking thing you've ever seen)...

...and got up close and personal with an A-10 Warthog.

We didn't stay long enough to check out the Thunderbirds who performed in the afternoon, but we did see them flying in formation on their way out of town this morning.

And on a different note entirely, the kids and I made new morning charts in preparation for the start of school tomorrow for Sam (Anna will start in early September). Last years' were such a hit that aside from adding a few new chores, they stayed pretty much the same. We also improved this year's offering by attaching the dry erase pen with sticky Velcro...the pens kept coming untied last year...We hang them from large binder rings on their respective door knobs.

**Remember to enter our Blogoversary Giveaway before Wednesday, August 20th!**

I LOVE Air Shows!!! I will have to think about trying some cute charts like that. Do you reward them at the end of the week?

What a fun day at the show!

I too am working a chart for Drew. I am feeling like we need a little more order in our lives now that school is getting underway.

I can't believe we had no idea about the air show. I tell you, you lose all touch with the real world in these small towns. Maybe next year!!

Jeni, they don't get a special reward because these are the things we expect them to do as part of the family...take care of their teeth, face, make bed, get dressed, clear dishes. Call me mean. Go ahead. :-)

I saw the Stealth B-1 fly over Chicago during their annual air show several years back. It was the coolest thing in the sky ever... but I admit it freaked me out. I was driving to Chicago to visit my best friend and had no idea there was an airshow going on. Next thing I know, the Stealth Bomber was overhead... I thought we were being attacked!

You are so good - I definitely need something like this. But i'm so bad...I would rather see them and buy them than take the time to make them. Maybe I could pay you to make me some - hehehe! :) j/k

I LOVE AIR SHOWS! Ours here at Scott is coming up soon! Can't wait! We got VIP passes last year so we have fingers & toes & eyes crossed hoping and wishing we can snag those again! And your morning charts are AWESOME girl! Clue me in on how you laminated them though. Did you buy something to do it yourself or take them someplace? You're probably giggling at how crazy that ? is, but I truly am stumped about it! Happy day to you! Les

Hey Amber, Me again! Thx a million for the laminate info! I will be adding that to my next 'Wolly World' shopping list! I hear it calling me now... They are so NEAT-O! Can't wait to see the other goodies you mentioned showing in your comment! "Happy 1/2 way through the week" day to you! Les
