Sam's First Day & Anna's Computer

Well, Sam started back to school today in a brand-spankin' new building that still isn't completely tiled...but done enough for school to begin. Sam's class has only 17 kids in it (instead of 24 like last year) and is in an actual classroom (instead of a office-turned-into-a-classroom). He was so excited to be stretching his brain. I'm just happy to be starting a routine again. Yes, my friends, that makes THREE different school in THREE years. Man, how resilient these kids are.

And sensing the quiet this morning, and perhaps a little lonely for her brother, Anna turned on the cute today. I was sitting at the kitchen table making a grocery shopping list and she was tapping away with her fingers on a notebook. Like an actual notebook of paper. I couldn't understand what she was doing until I took a closer look. It's a computer. Notice it even has a Skype camera.

Man, I love these children!

**Tomorrow (Wednesday) is the LAST CHANCE to enter our Blogoversary Giveaway! Sam will be drawing a name first thing Thursday morning...**

Love the computer, Anna. Don't you just love how they watch us and want to be so grown up.

Where did our summer go?! ALL 4 of me kids went back to school yesterday! Yep, thats right, I am ALL by myself ALL day! I'm feeling a little lost, but I'm sure I will get used to it. I'm still getting over the fact that my oldest is in JR. HIGH! YIKES!

Cute laptop that girl has. I am sure she missed her brother today.
I do think military kids are something else... Ben had gone to preschool at one base in Germany, Kindergarten at another, then we flew from Germany to Georgia on 1 Aug., closed on our house 2 Aug., and Ben started 1st grade on 3 Aug. We just left him at his new school and we had no phones for them to call us on yet...he was so brave. I was so tired, jetlagged I don't now how he did it.

So creative of Anna - love it! Glad Sam is in a smaller class and an actual classroom! Best to you, Sam!

It seems like I can remember doing the exact same thing with a notebook...maybe anna and I should get together to play sometime.

Lovin' her computer! What a clever girl you've got! I bet she gave her big bro a huge welcome home hug at the end of his 1st day! I'm an "AF Brat" and at one point I went to 5 schools in 5 years at one point. We're a different breed, aren't we?!? xo

Sam looks so proud on his first day of school. Hope it went well for all of you.

Thank you so much for your kind comment on my blog. It meant a lot to me.

I'm so glad to see a Mom "okay" with the idea of a school/classroom not being entirely ready. I'm in the process. Still no electricity in our room. Good enough will have to do for now.

Why are your kids so darn cute?

(P.S. I love the morning chart in the last post. I zoomed in. So cool.)

I feel your pain. Cameron & Brooklin are at their 4th elementary school, & soon to be 5th. :(
