Confession Is Good For the Soul

I've got a confession to make today, my friends. I am nuts about Christmas. Nuts enough that I already have handmade over half the 150 Christmas cards our family will send this year. I won't write the newsletter or get the photo taken until closer to Christmas (like after it actually snows), but the cards will be done before Halloween. I love to see them all lined up in their boxes. And as if that wasn't bad enough, I was flipping through Becky Higgins' Creative Cards book earlier this week and got inspired by a Christmas card she did with pine bough pipe cleaners. So I made a set of Christmas thank you cards today, too. Just so we're all ready.

Can we still be friends?

I am new to your blog, but I love all of your fun, creative ideas! Your cards look amazing. Where did you get the pine bough pipe cleaners?

Girl I am proud to say I am right there with you!!! Remember I had designed mine on Father's Day night. I LOVE the papers I can see you used. That wreath card is to die for! Have fun finishing up.
It will make the Holiday season so much easier having those done.

I can't wait for ours to arrive in the mail...(I am hoping we are still on the list this year..) I seriously love your cards every year. I am a Christmas Card crazy lady. All throughout the year I hardly check the mail box, but come December I am out there every five minutes looking for cute cards and cute family pictures! I wish I had an ounce of your talents. You are amazing... Thanks for always sharing your ideas. If you guys have time give us a call when your out this way. We can set up some tours for you if you want?

We can totally still be friends... especially if you can help me get motivated to get started on some of that stuff, before the Christmas rush. So impressed. The cards look darling... give us a close up picture. And that Christmas thank you card is too cute. What a cool girl you are. The ribbon... over the top, 150 homemade Christmas cards... just the Amber we love!!

I'm never sure whether to answer your questions HERE or on your own blogs, so I did both this time. For Melanie, the pine bough pipe cleaners are from Hobby Lobby, but are with the Christmas craft stuff. And I'm going to be mean and not show an actual close-up picture of our cards so you'll be surprised when you get them in the mail.:-)

You seriously rock!! Always inspiring! I of course, will be happy to complete mine before Thanksgiving. I did put it on my list to go buy my roll of stamps- I thought that was pretty good to get that done before Halloween!

This is one of the things I love most about you. I have saved every single card. Super cute! I'm dying to take a closer look. Such a tease to see them all lined up like that. :) And to think I spent last night making Halloween cards. You inspire me, girl!

I am SO impressed! The thank you cards are beautiful. I can only imagine what your Christmas cards look like.

Sending Christmas cards is something I look forward to all year. I usually have our picture made before now but just could not figure out what the kids were going to wear (it gets harder as they get older). I finally got that figured out, and then it rained the day I had scheduled the photographer to come to our house (I have her come here because it tends to be less stressful with Vivian and I wanted to take the picture outside this year). We're rescheduled for this week and will come inside this time if it's raining. I always choose a pretty, high quality card, but I'm not nearly organized or talented enough to go the extra mile and make them all like you do. What a wonderful friend you are!

Um... reading this post made me realize that I FORGOT TO BUY CHRISTMAS CARDS ON CLEARANCE LAST YEAR! AUGH!!!! I'm not talented or creative enough to make my own, but now I just realized I'm probably going to have to shell out full price for cards. Now I'm depressed.

I have finally resigned that I will never have it in me to do what you do, nevertheless you are very inspiring!

I always love to get the McIllece card! I had no idea they were created so early (I am greatly impressed) - they always make me "ooh" and "ahhh." Can't wait to see what you've come up with this year!
