Syracuse Treasures

Josh and I got to spend a day this past week down in Syracuse with Kristi. We had such a great time exploring the cute downtown shops and a couple fun little spots in Nebraska City. Josh's favorite part was meeting the Bennett's new puppy, Mo. He found Mo's nose!

And a couple of the treasures I picked up...I found this darling cheese dome at a little store and actually just bought it for the dome and was going to throw the old wooden base away. But I bought some matte black spray paint and painted the base black, put a mini white pumpkin under the dome and voila! And as we were checking out at a little craft mall, I spotted a garland of these darling little vintage wooden shapes, all strung along a rusted old wire. So we snatched it up, used the wire to turn the wooden shapes into ornaments and put it on a little tree. All you talented ladies out there are turning me into a Halloween decorating nut!!

But the best part of the day was hanging out with Kristi and Josh...
