After Josh's nap and Anna got home from preschool, we met the Ogdens and went out to the Community Center on base for a play date. I'm not sure how little Jake escaped my camera, but here are a couple of shots of Lucy, Anna and Josh playing on the giant purple hippo.
Thanks for the fun time and adult conversation, Holly!!
And PLEASE tell me that this is a sight that you have seen at least once at your house. PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one to occasionally use Clifford to babysit/brainwash/induce coma in my kids for a half hour while I make dinner...Please??...

Are you kidding me?! That's WHY PBS was invented...otherwise no one would ever get dinner on the table and we'd all go hungry! hahaha...
it happened today, in fact! pbs and disney are great for when those bathrooms need cleaning too :-)
Nope, been there, done that...
Trust me--you are not alone! Kids need a little down time and so do Moms! There will be plenty of worthy opportunities for Mama Guilt, but a little PBS is definitely not one of them!
Ummmm, I use PBS kids to babysit my kids more than just when I am making dinner - plenty of other times I need them babysat too!
Is there really any other way?? :)
I miss haveing pbs, but trust my barbie princess movies play daily!!
I'm in the club too... though it is movies rather than tv... (Going on year 5 without it!)
I haven't commented in a little while, but I found it fun to know how small the world truly is. Raymond is definitely not too far away, and I'm only about 1/2 a block from the Cardston temple! :o)
We had a great time yesterday. Thanks for going with us!
I use PBS kids every morning while I get ready....and sometimes when I make dinner at night....and possibly during the day while I clean. I figure it is educational!
Caroline likes to watch the Baby Einstein shows when I need a bit to get something done like dinner, shower, phone call...
I think we all do it girly! Have no guilt!
Glad you had some adult convo while the kids had a blast playing. That is always refreshing, isn't it?
Happy day wishes to you hun~ Les
you must be a horrible mother. i would never let my children watch tv. only shakespeare and mozart at our house.
Ya right!
1/2 hour??? Try a more pathetic number, like 3 hours of Dora.
Oh my gosh! If it weren't for Curious George at 5 pm we would never eat dinner! Everytime PBS has a telethon I feel like I should donate since they support my sanity!
Yeah, PBS was created for mothers!
I used to consider Arthur my babysitter...he was great.
