Skirting the Issue

I really like to sew, but as far as clothes for me?...not so much. But I finally found a pattern that I LOVE. And so I've been in a frenzy of making these darling A-line summer skirts. It's called the Barcelona Skirt by Amy Butler and you can find it here. The pattern includes a simple A-line as well as a layered one, which is the one I am wearing in the picture. I bought the pattern on a whim and after just two tries have adjusted it to fit. Delightful, I tell you!

Bring on the sunshine!

Hey Amber,
I LOVE that fabric you used for your skirt! Do you know what line it is from? Oh, and those green shoes! They are DARLING! :)

Thanks so much for stopping on by and for taking the time to change my blog address on your google reader! :) Have a good day! :)

Darling skirt, Amber! And your shoes just make the outfit! Is there ANYTHING you can't do? :)

Jenni...the line is Brother Sister Design Studio...I think it is a brand owned by Hobby Lobby. :-)

So cute - I hardly (never) sew anything for myself to wear, either. I have thought about wearing skirts more often, though and yours is darling.

You make Tony a lucky guy...coming home from work to a wife dressed so cute! Such happy fabric too.

I love the skirt. I may need to try out this pattern, in about four months when I'm not huge and pregnant. Cute shoes too!

I love it!! Skirts are my favorite thing for summer time and that is so cute! And a HUGE thank you for the cute diaper tote I recieved in the mail today. I love it too! Thanks for making my day a little more special. It was such a surprise and a good one at that!
Thank you so much! By the way I just came across the cute pink dress that you had made for me when Kalei was born. I have been cleaning out all of the girl clothes we have been storing "just in case" we had another girl. This boy arriving soon, is it for us so we are finding happy homes for all of her cute things. That is a hard thing for a mamma to do I tell you! Have a great day.

Glad to know that's a good pattern. I've used Amy Butler for bags and hats, but not clothes yet. It turned out great! I love summer.

Hope all is going well with the move. I know you will NOT be forgotten. You're just not forgettable--in a very good way. ( =
