Squaring My Shoulders

It really should be no surprise to those of you who know me, but I'm not thrilled to be moving. It's not so much where we are moving TO, but more what we are leaving behind. So every once in a while, I have a mini-breakdown. Feel a bit sorry for myself. Cry. Square my shoulders. Try to carry on. And it has been a little easier this week while Joan has been visiting. She has been wonderful about letting me run errands without helpers (divine, I tell you) and giving me some much needed time to sort, stack and simplify. And yesterday, I was able to find a little time to make my version of a wonderful project I saw in BH&G 100 Decorating Ideas Under $100 with things I had on hand. Mostly because I needed a little something new. Something that has never been hanging in one of our homes before. Something I can look forward to unpacking and finding the perfect place for in our new home.

Our new home.

You make my day, Amber! I just love to pop on over to your family blog and peak at what fun project you're working on. ( Cause you're ALWAYS creating something or other:) I love his one!

Good luck on your move. I feel for ya. That is one of my LEAST favorite things to do. At least you have had lots of experience over the years.... not that it makes it any easier though!

That is such a great idea to create something new for your new home.
Moving stinks. Hang in there.

I don't know how I missed that you're moving. Where are you moving? I'll keep you in my prayers. I know moving is hard and saying goodbye is never fun. But fortunately, the internet makes the world a little bit smaller.

You're a trooper. I hate moving more than most anything else. Everything that makes me fell safe, secure, comforted, stable, it's all being moved and it will likely not be the same! Yuck! I love the frames you made. What a good idea to have something to look forward to as you unpack and get resettled. SO smart.
