Spokane Temple Primary Activity

It was a crazy day today between 3 well-child visits to the pediatrician, 2 school late-registrations and 1 very special Primary activity. The Primary theme for the month is "Temple blessings unite families" and our fantastic Primary presidency put together an activity for the children at the Spokane Temple today. When our morning obligations were done, I drove the kids out to meet the rest of our ward's Primary. We spent a little bit of time on the way there talking about why we were dressed in Sunday clothes and how we should act on the temple grounds...a great lesson for them and a wonderful reminder for me. It was a beautiful day made only more wonderful spending time with my children in the shadow of the temple.

I'm getting so nostalgic reading your posts. My Grandpa was an air-force pilot and lived in Spokane. We always did your shopping at Fairchild AFB. We spent months during the summer with them, Thanksgivings, and when we were old enough to drive, we always drove our friends up there (I grew up in Kennewick). Later, the lived closer to that temple. They have both passed away, but Spokane is a very special place to me.

I think you are the best Mom ever! Seriously, I think I would stop at the pediatrician errand! What a fun activity! You look GREAT and your children at darling as ever! Hopefully, you'll have more trips to Utah now that you're a little closer?

We went to the Newprt Beach temple for a session on Saturday as part of our anniversary day. It was spectacular. I love that temple. It was so crazy thinking 2 weeks from now we will all be back at the Seattle Temple being sealed. I love the temple. What a great primary activity. How lucky you are to be so close.
