Water Babies & A Little Monkey Man

Today was the last day of swim lessons for the kids. It has been so much fun to watch them get more and more comfortable in the water. (Anna's class had a free swim today so they could wear a life jacket to play if they chose.)

I will NOT miss chasing this little guy around the entire time, knowing that if I turned my back for one minute, he'd be in the pool with brother and sister...

Amber! Hooray! You are there, settled in your darling new home. You have made it look so cozy and inviting. I hope you will all be very happy there. Washington is lucky, lucky to have the McIlleces! Your neighbors are sure in for a treat to have you on their street.

Great swimming pics of the kiddos! Love the Tyrant to Treasure, too. And the temple picture ... fun to get caught up with you!

Next summer Josh should be old enough for a level one class...he will feel so proud to join the rest of the kids.
I agree that swimming lessons are very important. Of all the fun things we let our kids do this is the only sport they learn that can save their life.

Amber we did the same thing this year. Sam was too young for lessons, so I chased him the whole time. I finally got tired of climbing the ladder to the high dive which was his favorite trick, so I brought the stroller strapped him in and kept him distracted with dum dum suckers and Ben 10 guys. Worked pretty well.

Hence the reason why my kids have yet to take swim lessons. I've always had one, sometimes two, baby that made it impossible to be there to supervise. But next summer all my kids will be in lessons. Wahoo.

AH! Swimming lessons is definitely a little nightmare waiting to happen with the wee ones that aren't participating...glad you made it through.
