Monster Mashin'

Tonight was our ward's Trunk-or-Treat... and the kids had a ball!

They played a couple of fun games, ate mac-n-cheese to their hearts content, and then headed outside for the candy gathering. It was so gorgeous tonight that we almost didn't even need a jacket.

Sam was Davy Crockett (thank goodness we still had the hat from his birthday party)...

Anna was Elphaba...

And Josh was the angst-ridden shark. But I must say this for the little man--he did wear that darn shark head the entire night.

And sometimes, the very best ideas are the ones you steal from your friends. My friend Jeni made these darling suckers for Halloween gifts and when I saw them, I knew that they would be a fun, easy thing to do for Halloween goodies this year. And Jeni being the lovely, talented and generous friend she is, let me shamelessly steal her idea. And she even shared her stamps (what a lady)! I love the way they look all piled up in my big bowl all ready for tomorrow night.

So after helping with Anna's classroom party today, watching kids this afternoon and Trunk-or-Treat tonight, I am ready to put my feet up and have a cup of hot chocolate. And some of the good stuff from the kids' candy stash. I won't tell if you won't.

You deserve to "snitch" a little after that kind of day! I truly believe you are "wonder woman!" I think I may have to start an Amber Fan Club for all the fun things you come up with!

Way cool. I am sorry I missed our ward trunk or treat. Alex still has a high fever. He has a ear infection too. Cute treats.

I can't believe you are making treats for Trick or Treaters! How many do you get? I have 300 pieces and am praying that will be enough - we have a very intense neighborhood that people drive to to go trick or treating!
anyways - I think you rock. Your kids look adorable.

Hey I thought you were afraid of sharks :-)

I LOVE Halloween so much I am a little sad it's over....but I need to cheer up and bring on the turkey's and pilgrims.

Oh, your kids look so cute in their costumes. And the little shark, precious.

The lollipops look so pretty. I don't think I would want to disturb the wrapping if I received one.

We call it a candy tax--it's what kids have to pay so that they get a free costume and an escort around the neighborhood. ( =

Great costumes!
