I volunteer at the kid's school on Mondays and Sam's teacher saw me working in the hallway outside Anna's classroom and came over to talk to me. She said that Sam had come into class today and told her this:
Sam: "My dad left last Friday. And he's going to be gone for six.whole.months."
Long pause.
Sam: "That last part is a secret. Mom's not supposed to know it's for six months."
Thanks for the overwhelming vote of confidence, Sam.
Sheesh.

Oh, Amber, I just read this about Tony's deployment! I know how much he means to you and your family and how much you all will miss him. I pray that six months passes quickly and safely.
Hugs to you.
He is man of the house and just doing a good job protecting his most precious girl!
Six months! Holy cow - I know who to find solace in when Tom's gone for 3 days, now!
I'm sorry, but that is hilarious. Like...I was rolling.
Wow so much has been going on for you and your family. I also will keep you guys in thoughts and prayers until Tony is back home safe with you all. You are such a strong women and I know you have the faith to endure. I really hope things are going well for you. Hope everything continues to go well.
I think your Sam is just trying to protect his Mama, right? :) This made me smile, even though I am NOT smiling about Tony being gone for so long.
That's so funny! What a cute little man you have.
sam sounds like a brave little guy.
After reading this post, I skipped down to your post about Tony being deployed. I am sorry he will be gone for the next six months. :(
What your son said is so funny, though! Kids are the best~ they always say the funniest things! :)
Praying for you,
Jenni
