Sunshine Bound!

So, my big exciting news may really just be exciting to me. But it is. Tony and his mom arranged for a 5-day trip for me, all by myself, where I get to fly on an airplane to someplace warm. And Joan is coming up to stay with the kids. I get to relax. Renew. Read. Sleep in. And thaw out. I can't wait.

But I made a promise to myself that I would disconnect from the computer while I am gone, so there will be no blogging, emailing or blog visiting. Sorry. But I'll catch up when I get home and I hope this giveaway will make up for it.

On Monday, December 21st, my impartial 6-year-old will draw a winner of these:

A new Classic Scentsy Warmer (IN CREAM) with a block of Snowberry wax. Yum.

And this Christmas doorhanger made (with love) by me.

Now on to the rules. You can have up to two entries by doing the following:

1: Leave a comment on this post and then say something nice about the person that commented above you. If they don't have a blog or it is private, make something up. :-) (Thanks for the GREAT idea, Laurel!)

2: You can become a follower if you aren't yet and would like to be OR you can link directly to this post from your blog. Let me know in your comment and I'll add your extra entry.

Have fun this week, ladies!!

Oh my goodness!! How lucky for you! You deserve it.

I don't know "Anonymous", but I can compliment her for being very fast at commenting! :-)

Is subscribing through my Google Reader the same thing as being a follower? (Sorry, I don't know all the terms). If it is, then I am a follower!

Have SO much FUN on your trip! :-)

I think it's a sign... It's my turn to win... The word verification for this comment is "sentsc" Haha -- what are the chances!??!

Anyway, I would love to go on a getaway as well, but since I can't at the moment, have a fabulous time for me too! As for saying something nice about Lynn, I noticed she is from Canada (Eh!!) and since I am also Canadian, I'm sure she is totally incredible, kind, resourceful, creative, and able to withstand inhumanly freezing cold weather... (Minus 40 Celcius today!! BRRRRR!) I also think it's super fun that all her kid's names start with the same letter (our family too!)!!

Oh, And I'm posting to my blog as well... Sorry -- the post-pregnant brain prevents any kind of multi-tasking-type thoughts from occuring... haha.

Jeni said...

Well I think you should be there!!! Enjoy to the max!

I looked at Kathleeners blog...one special lady, about to have baby #3and the oldest is not yet 5. I try not to judge...but it always seems like the more children one has the nicer and more caring they are.

and I just became a follower by adding you to my google home page! (I think that is how it works right to get another entry?) glad you had a GREAT time on your trip!

So it's already Monday in Japan (actually it's probably already Monday in WA too, but you're still sleeping I hope). Anyway, so so glad you got to get away and enjoy some sunshine. Thanks for the little package of sunshine you sent my way, you have no idea how much it brightened my day (after I had a good cry!).

As for your little contest, I really love the idea of saying nice about the person who posted above you. I clicked on "The Toronto Family"'s profile and saw that she is the mom of 3 boys and a military wife. As a mom of three girls I can only imagine what it would be like to have three boys.. but she sounds like she is finding joy in the experience and I admire that!!

Alaina said...

A getaway....wow - that's so great.

Liz lives in Japan with her husband and gorgeous 3 little girls. I too have 3 children...but mine are boys! Merry Christmas Liz...you're so far from home, but so glad you have your precious family to celebrate with. Home is where the heart is.

Eloise said...

So, so very happy for you about your getaway! I expect lots of updates on GoodReads!

Alaina doesn't have a blog, but she does have a beautiful name. My hat is ever off to a mom of three boys!

Merry Christmas!

Fun for you!!! Hope you had a fabulous time!

Megalicious....what an awesome name! We have a little bit in common. She's a dietician who is obsessed with food. I'm a nurse who really likes to eat food. And from the looks of her blog, she has some mad skills! Nice.
