They call Spokane "The Lilac City" for good reason. They are everywhere. And beginning to bloom.
This lovely tree in actually in our backyard. We moved in too late to enjoy them last year, so we are absolutely enthralled this year with the color and scent of lilacs. Our tree is special...it had both white and purple flowers in bloom.
A cute boy with flowers? Be still my heart.

Oh lucky you!
That would be so nice to have that right out my window! Did you pick some for a vase in you kitchen or yet on your nightstand.
I am planning on trying your latest recipe for tomorrow nights dinner...pork, red potatoes and corn on the cob.
How delightful to have those beautiful lilacs growing wild in your yard! And yes, start training those boys young on how much we girls love flowers. :)
I have to admit... Lilacs are my very favorite flower... espeically the purple ones. I have a picture of a huge lilac tree on my blog, if you get a minute check it out...

Hopefully the lilacs here didn't get frozen... we had snow here in Logan 1 week ago. Huggies! Vicki
I love walking past the lilac bushes on my way to Joe's school! i would have thought the smell too strong for my queasy tum, but it actually soothes it for a while!
Hope you don't mind me commenting. I saw a link to you blog from sugardoodle. I was wondering how you did the link to mormon.org?
Love the Lilacs btw.
My love of lilacs started in Spokane! We always went to the Lilac Day parade, and then I played in it when I was older!
Our lilac are just starting to bud too, and I hope we don't get a freeze tonight! It's awfully cold out tonight...
Thank you for the help!
We had the most amazing lilacs in our side yard in Seattle. Augh, I miss them this Spring! They are gorgeous and smell heavenly.
I love it when my boys pick me flowers. It's so cute. ( = What a charming little guy you have!
