My Daddy's Obituary

Most of you never had the privilege of knowing my father. He was a loving, kind, generous man with the biggest heart I will ever know. I'd like to hope to be just like him someday. I have a long way to go and big shoes to fill.

I'll be taking a brief blogging break while we travel home to Alaska for the funeral and to mourn with my family. Thank you for all your kind comments, emails, phone calls, flowers, cards and friendship. I am indeed surrounded by wonderful people.

Just one less than before.

My daddy's obituary.

Heartbreaking. I'm so sorry. The only good thing about funerals is the time you have with family all together. Travel safe.

My heart aches for your loss of your beloved Dad. What a sweet tribute you wrote about him. Thank goodness for the gospel and the Plan of Salvation. It changes ones perspective on death when someone we know and love is waiting for us. Our prayers are with your entire family.

Oh, Amber, your father was so young. It sounds like he lived his life to the fullest, though, and that he made a lasting impression on his friends and family.

My heart just breaks for you at your loss. I am so sorry.

Hugs all around.

Hi Amber, I did know your dad and yes he is everything you described plus more. He was like a father to me and my siblings. We miss our Nichol's family from Alaska. I just heard the news from your grandparents christmas letter that they sent to my parents, Paul and Lyn Smith and I am still in shock! It's late at night and I decided to do a search for your dad's obituary and then I found your blog.It has been wonderful to read your blog. You are so amazingly talented! Please tell your mom I said Hi and that I am sorry to hear of your family's loss. I am amazed at how strong and positive you have been. Thank you for sharing. Stephanie Smith Dagley
