Taking a Break...
I will be taking a little "blog-break". This last few weeks have been very challenging for me and I need to simplify my life a little while until things calm down. Hopefully sooner then later. And if you can spare a prayer or two, send them my way!!:-)

Bright Lights
Okay. Tony is gone until tonight (2nd TDY in two weeks) and we have been running around here with our pants on fire. And it keeps snowing. Yes, my friends, you read that right. Sno.Wing.
Seems like a good morning for a little Rob Thomas.
Bright Lights
Just make sure to wipe the slobber off the keyboard when it's over. Tony hates it when I forget.

M&M Filled Rice Crispy Easter Eggs
Have any of you seen the cute commercial with the mommy making rice crispy Easter eggs with her kids filled with M&Ms? Tony and I saw it together one night and we looked at each other and said, "Hey! What a great idea! We could do this with the kids!"
So we took a little bit of warm rice crispy mixture and lined some plastic Easter eggs with it. (Just a piece of advice from us professionals...use lots of butter on your hands. Lots.) Then we made a little indentation in the center of each egg half and filled it up with M&Ms and put the egg halves back together. We put them in a cup to hold the shape until the rice crispy mixture cooled. And voila! Darling. The kids had a blast and they were a delicious FHE treat.
Of course you could use smaller eggs, but why would you when you can use big, giant camouflage Easter eggs??

"It" Revisited

Hello, My Name Is...
I can't take credit for this darling idea...I think my mom and I found it in a Christmas issue of BH&G. So while I was in Alaska on my visit, she and I went shopping and found the stickers. I'm taking a dinner in to some friends of ours tonight and out of the dull grey recesses of my brain, this idea came to mind. Perfect. The potato cheese soup recipe is from my sister-in-law Wendy and is the best.soup.ever.
So glad that Spring Break is over. Now all we need is actual Spring. Grrrr.

Happy Birthday, Sir Joshua!
Today was Joshua's birthday! Since we are smack-dab in the middle of Spring Break week, we made the most of his special day by picking out the most delicious looking cake at the Commissary, finding the very best "4" shaped candle, having lunch at the Funspot and, of course, presents, cake and ice cream! Not so original, but Josh chose french fries, nuggets, strawberries and chocolate milk for his birthday dinner.
Pray you don't run into this in a dark alley.
Man, we love this kid. He is stubborn, sassy, delightful, so dang funny, and growing up way too fast. This evening when I "snuggled" him into bed, I asked him if he had a good birthday. He said yes. I asked him how old he was now and he thought for a minute and then said, "I be three again." I wish that could be true.
