Grateful

It has been a wonderful couple of days. Truly days to reflect on our many, many blessings. Days to spend as a family. To be grateful for our health, strength, home and each other. Our freedom. We are truly, truly blessed.

We spend much of the afternoon decorating our home for Christmas. And for the first year I have relinquished control of the actual decorating of the Christmas tree. Needless to say, there is a bit of "bunching"... As I unwrapped the angels that go on our big Christmas tree, the kids came and held out their little index fingers for my to hang an ornament on. They would then pick a spot on the tree to hang it up on. Even Josh got into the action, and there was nothing cuter than seeing him come walking up to me with his little finger extended, going over to the tree, plopping down and hanging the angels on the lowest bough.

And you know, our tree has never looked more beautiful.

I have really enjoyed the past few days I kinda wish Thanksgiving was once a month.

I have had one of those most beautiful trees before...once I left it like that for all of Christmas. Last night while we decorated our tree I totally noticed my kids have grown because we had no bunching. But it was still magical.

now, the real test will be whether or not you can allow the "bunching" to remain! my mom would ALWAYS (and i think she still does) move certain ornaments around once we were in bed.

i can't wait to get our tree! your post makes me so wistful...

Happy Thanksgiving, my sweet friend! I must admit, I have re-arranged a few ornaments after the kids are done decorating, but it is so sweet when they help.

So glad you had a good Thanksgiving holiday Amber!
Our tree has some bunching, too, courtesy of Miss Priss and it makes me smile each time I look at those parts! They grow up too quickly, don't they? I kinda want to freeze time right now because I'm loving it so much (minus all of the tdy's back to back!!!).
Love and hugs, Les

I'm grateful for such a dear friend!! I miss you!!

We have that same bunching at our house too! It's funny because Genna will put all of her ornaments in the same area. I have to tell her to spread the love around.

We have some bunching on our tree too. And you know what, that's what makes it special...because you know that's where their little hands helped out. :)

Looks like a very happy and tasty Thanksgiving! I agree - Christmas trees decorated by little hands are the most beautiful!
