Weekend in Review

First of all, thanks to everyone that entered my giveaway...the stars are making their way to Becky's home.

As for the rest of the weekend? Challenging to say the least. I ended up going to the doctor on Friday and got some antibiotics for an ear infection that seems to not want to die! Here it is Monday and I still have so much pressure in my ear that I can barely hear. Yuck. I was crazy enough to try and run the Turkey Trot anyway, even though I felt like crud, and my performance showed it. I ran it in my regular training time, but didn't reach my goal. But there's a race next month, so I'll have another chance soon to show the track who's boss.

And in other news, I went to the Friday night showing of Twilight with a bunch of girlfriends. We had a wonderful time, but I'd only give the movie a solid C+. I probably would have been generous and given it a B- except for having to endure all the teenage girl squeals every time Edward came on the screen. Ack. Were we ever like that??

I think not.

Seriously.

Ok, now I don't feel so bad about not seeing it this past weekend. Maybe the screaming girls will have subsided by the time I get to see it.

Your not the first person to mention the teenage girls and their annoying habits during Edwards screen time or the mediocre grade for the movie. Perhaps I won't see it over Thanksgiving.

I am so sorry you have an ear infection, and that it doesn't seem to want to leave you alone! That's no fun at all!

About the movie Twilight, I think that teenage girls are experiencing an epidemic. On at least one other blog, I read that she was having a hard time watching the movie due to girls screaming every time Edward appeared...I really hope I wasn't that way!

I hope you're feeling better now. I saw the movie over the weekend, too. I was lucky though because I got to see it with a bunch of ladies from my ward... One of them had a birthday and her husband rented out the theatre for a private showing! I actually liked it. But I think I would have liked it more if I wasn't watching it through "parent eyes" -- trying to decide if I should let Ashley watch it. What do you think? Would you let an 11 year old watch it? I did let her read the book...

Hope you guys have a nice Thanksgiving!

I agree with the rating. It was a fun movie to see but not one that I would go back for. I wondered if I was the only one who felt that way. At least Edward finally wore on us by the end of the movie. Oh, and I had to tell Jason about your adorable shoes. I cannot believe that 4 inch heels can be comfy and cute!

Were you at the same showing as me? LOL I actually saw the movie again on this past Saturday just so I could see it with out the screaming. It was much better.
